Thinking to next features for the w3images, i ask to somebody that can help, to add something in reply on how to use the w3images for blogging: there are really many tips and ways to play with images, very basics are already been added to the w3images how to page, some other will be added time by time, but some help will be really appreciate if somebody can.
For the 1.0.8 version, in absence of suggestions i was thinking to rewrite some function in the administration side, where a better control over uploaded images, to approve or delete with easy and in seconds, and improving some important aspect. A better manipulation of images in administration is the more important aim of next w3images 1.0.8.
Another one important, is that to have the possibility to choose the dimension for each thumbnail of uploaded image: in administration, so, will be possible to upload an image creating a thumbnail of desired dimension that can be different each time: as a thumbnail all over the blog can be used in various ways, this option about thumbnail dimension can return very useful for many users.
Of course, if thumbnail dimension values aren’t set while uploading, than the default one set in the w3images main setting will be used.
These two are features added/improved for the images gallery 1.0.8 if no more suggestions or helps are coming out on the way before release.
The part relate activation of images in case of moderation as been added/coded to the w3images-options.php file with a new function ‘w3AllUp()’ called inside the’w3DeleteImages()’ function, as it is called on main options page when updating latest listed uploaded images: will be so possible immediately for latest images listed on bottom of the ‘main w3images options page’, to approve or delete all the selected images in just one click.
The work to be done is too much, maybe something else will be also improved if possible for the new 1.0.8 release.
well, the two features above and some improvement more to correct and speed up the w3images plugin are completed and the new version so, released as soon presumably within this night my time!
Thinking to the tutorial for w3images and the wp-w3images.php file adaptation, making it suitable to be used with old wordpress versions, prior to 3.0 or > series. Anybody can help in this somewhere?
The w3images 1.0.8 has been coded and work fine about last improvements:
the Custom Thumbnail Size on images upload in admin (the Add image menu item)
and the Multiple Images Approve feature in the w3images main options page.
Before his release by the way, due to some problems about users permissions and related Roles and Capabilities that need to be updated to new wordpress 3 > code as in this post also explained:
WordPress user levels in version 3 or > and w3images 1.0.8
I hope to find out the time to fix it and come out with 1.0.8 version for this night.
