To use the WordPress phpBB integration just to display posts/topics into WP from a phpBB hosted into another or same domain (widgets and shortcodes) it just required to:
ACTIVATE the plugin in NOT LINKED USERS mode, activating the related option
Activate integration without linking WordPress and phpBB users, set it to YES
into the WP_w3all phpBB db connection and main settings section
on plugin's admin page, and setup connections values to the database of the site from where you want posts retrieved from.
That is. If the MySQL connection works fine, then you are all right, all will work as expected.
You can display phpBB forum's posts/topics also cross domain, into any WP site, using related plugin's widgets and shortcodes.
