I know this is a tough one, and I'm not trying to be a bother, just wondering if you've had any ideas on whether this could be solved in the future? I'm still very interested if you do.

Thanks for all your help axew3!

Hello Nick! NP, really this is not intended as a bother ... a cross domain integration over https ...
taking a look as soon ... i will setup a localhost https and i'll do some test with curl to see how many changes we should do to the code to achieve the result ... so maybe i'll message to you a pm or email asking for an online test with wp and phpBB installed on different domains, both over https.
The over https version for cross domain installations will maybe be not free except for you, just because you are the guinea pig of situation!
I'm joking, as in true, this plugin, born as a free plugin, and all what will be added as feature, if free, will be also added ever, for free.
Hope i'll find out the time in short, by the way i've not forget. It will be added. Hope my short time is compatible with your timing!

That's great, I will test whatever you need. I've spent the last few months trying to learn some basic js/php/html so I'm not quite the dummy I used to be, but still far beneath your abilities.

You are a gentleman for helping me, I think it is crucial to be able to integrate blog and forum (because comments and feedback are important to any blog looking to expand on ideas) and I can not switch from phpbb because large change in format is like pulling teeth to users.

I'll be around whenever you need (or at least as often as my schedule allows). I have enough time in the office to be able to test it much of the time.

Thanks again,
Nick

Just doing things on spare time until now, after August, and summer finished, i will be more present and productive. Just starting to re-install https on localhost, we will try to do a good job!
