Nope nothing.. Thats the reason I already contacted my hoster.. It feels like the issue isnt caused by any plugin or additional code. Especially after I restored the old backup which had no issues before

Normal text ist no issue but as soon as I publish any media like YouTube or instagram,... the issues appears. Normal text doesnt cause an issue

A little confused.

These functions into this file are only used into the plugin code so to translate an username from a language to another or to clean up phpBB usernames so to be sanitized and to be ok to be used into WP.
So i ask my self how you could never get the error you say, into a phpBB post.
How you are using it, to do some task or it is just an error not related to the above topic?
You get this when an existent user is added into WP due to a login in WP (while still only existent into phpBB) or because the phpBB registered user still not existent in WP, come to visit WP as logged in, so it is going to be added into WP? Or when?

It was not related to the general issue but it was in the errorlogs as well.

The general issue was probably caused by the provider. They said there is no issue but magically my issues disappeared over night after I contacted them

mhh.. no i think it happened when an user has been added with some encoding that has not been recognized, but at moment, i have try any conversion without getting any php warning, bu ti will follow with some test. Check please in the while if maybe it happen again.
